Sink Baths

      Do you have memories of getting quick baths in the sink as a kid? I sure do. Some of my fondest memories are of the sink baths I took in my grandparents farm sink. I wasn't even a baby, maybe four or five years old. My grandma would plop me in the sink after playing out in the garden all day. She would lather soap in my hair, blow bubbles into my face, and snuggle me up in a warm towel after. Those memories have come back to me like a flood since her passing in July. Those small simple moments that never really left me, just sat dormant in the back of my mind till now when I yearn to remember all the small things about her.       The other day Zander was begging to get into the kitchen sink to play with water. He lives for being in the water or playing with water. I plopped him in the sink it was mid day, lathered him up in bubble bath, and a wave of emotions overcame me. Hit right in the gut with the flash of that memory with my Nana. Followed by the memory of washing each
